Practice Policy Update regarding COVID-19

COVID 19 Policy

Coronavirus Announcement & Updates

Dr. Moazzaz is taking all necessary measures to protect patients and staff from the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19). These extraordinary times require vigilant actions to help keep us safe and help reduce the spread of the virus.

We are taking the following measures that may in some instances create minor inconveniences or increase time needed by patients.   We ask for your patience and to join us in the recommended practices to limit risks.

  1. Patients who have traveled outside of the county in the last 14 days, have been exposed to the COVID-19 virus, or are experiencing any symptoms such as fever, cough and difficulty breathing are asked to call us at (760) 904 5444 to reschedule their appointment.
  2. Employees who have traveled outside of the country in the last 14 days, or have been in close contact with someone who has been diagnosed with COVID-19, or are experiencing any symptoms of the virus are required to stay home for a minimum of 14 days.
  3. Daily cleaning and disinfecting routines have been increased, including sanitation of all surfaces, doorknobs, etc. throughout the waiting room, and all areas of the offices.
  4. Our staff will be pre-screening patients arriving for their appointments to help further identify patients with risks and offer alternative options as appropriate. Additional protocols may be applied and may vary by physician.  These include, but not limited to, advance rescheduling of any patient that may be at higher risk/serious complications if exposed to COVID-19 virus, and taking patient temperatures before entering the office.
  5. A “No Guests” policy in the clinic exam rooms has been implemented. Only the patient will be taken back to the exam room with an exception of one person to assist the patient if medically necessary.
  6. OSNC limits patients to a single companion to reduce the number of people entering the office.
  7. There has been an increase in hand sanitizer stations throughout the offices for patient and staff use.
  8. OSNC providers and staff are required to follow handwashing protocols and stay at home if they are experiencing any potential symptoms of illness.
  9. Patents are reminded to wash hands frequently and to understand and follow CDC recommended precautions to protect themselves and their family.

Please reach out to us with any questions or concerns.  Our patients and community health are my top priority.

Sincerely,
Dr. Moazzaz
